Shingling a Storage Shed Roof

The very first thing that you are going to want to take into consideration is the pitch of your shed's roof because this will help to determine if you will be comfortable working on it.

While there would be nothing wrong with hiring someone to shingle your roof for you, if you are well read on how to do the work yourself it is something that you can easily accomplish. If you are going to put shingles on your storage shed roof yourself you are going to need to be sure that you are keeping your personal safety in mind. Making sure that the work is done correctly is very important however you do not want to risk your health to do the job. So if you have the proper tools to accomplish the job and have planned ahead with a safety plan you can do a great job shingling your roof.

The types of materials that are needed to properly shingle a roof will depend on the type of shingles that you are planning on using. But normally you are going to need the following tools and equipment in order to get your storage shed properly shingled. You are going to need to get: asphalt shingles, straightedge ruler, ridge cap shingles, a hammer staples, roofing felt, barbed roofing nails, staple gun hammer and a trimming knife.

So as not to waste time and materials, you should have already figured out your total roof area in order to make a good and accurate assessment of the number of shingles you will need for a particular style, texture, and color of your choice.

The first thing to do would be to unroll the roofing felt over the plywood top of your roof. The felt should then be stapled down securely over the surface and around the edges to cover the entire roof.

If you are replacing old shingles, first strip off the old roofing material and check the wood for any damage or rot. Ensure that the plywood is still nailed securely to the rafters all around. In this case, instead of the traditional felt paper, use either heavy felt paper or modern water membrane to prevent leaks caused by ice or windblown rain.

Make sure that the very first row for shingles that you are putting on your roof is being placed on upside down. Be sure that the tabs are sticking face up. You are going to want to cut the first shingle about six inches and make sure that it overhangs the drip edge of your storage shed. You will be using full sized shingles for the rest of your project.

While you continue to place your shingles on the roof of your storage shed set them so that the row above the row you are working on is slightly offset. You can create the illusion of overhang by continuing to use this pattern. Once you are done putting all of the shingles on each side of the shed you then attached the roof top shingles from side to side.

Now that you have all the singles properly attached to your storage shed room you then should then cut off all parts of the shingles that are creating an overhang on the sides of your storage shed. Then all you need to do is the needed cleaning and additional trimming.

So if you do your research and plan out a great safety plan you are going to be able to have an expertly shingled storage shed roof that you will not likely have to work on for many years to come.

Having a storage shed can be a great addition to anyone's property no matter what you plan to store inside it. Of course whatever you do plan to store in your shed you are going to want to make sure that it is kept safe and secure. How You Can Talk To Girls

When you are talking to girls there is nothing scarier than nervous anxiety. This typically happens when you run out of things to say.

Your hands start to sweat, and it is impossible to form one coherent thought. Typically this is where you put your foot in your mouth and end up humiliating yourself.

However just by taking a few easy steps you can eliminate most of these feelings.

Step 1 - Prepare your conversation topics

This means think about what you are going to talk about before you approach. For example ask her where she is from?

Did she grow up there? Does her family live there? Does she come from a big family? Brothers and sisters?

Or talk about politics. Did she vote for Obama? What does she think of the stimulus package? Auto bailout?

These are just a few examples. The point is take a few moments and prepare a couple conversation topics. It will help tremendously.

I suggest three topics. As you get more comfortable you will not need to prepare as much. However this really helps to eliminate that nervous anxiety when you fun out of things to say.

Also it will make you appear less nervous. If you appear less nervous you are seen as self assured or confident. This will help her feel more comfortable and attracted to you.

Step 2 - Mantras

Create a couple mental mantras. You should use these before, during, and after your approaches.

For example, I always tell myself "she is just as nervous as you." This is true!

The next time you are fighting with yourself about approaching or not tell yourself she is just as nervous as you. It will help to make you feel more comfortable. Just like men women get nervous too.

Another good one is "Act As if." This means act as if you are the man. Act like she should be lucky you are talking to her.

Specifically use this to help give off that elusive confidence, that women are so attracted to. The truth is she is lucky because you are a good quality guy.

It's not like you want to take her home and beat her up! Instead you just want to get to know her and see how things go. Of course, be careful you don't go to far and been seen as arrogant.

Last one is "Don't chase her just replace her." Thankfully there are a lot of women in the world.

If things don't work out with one, who cares? There are plenty more, don't let yourself get down about one woman.
